1. I think I like Rory now! (I had no particular feelings about him before, except that he seemed decently clever--taking pictures of the alien instead of the chaos.) I like people who berate the Doctor.

2. That is Gilbert--of Gilbert fun--in the trailer, yes? (I didn't get to watch all of Being Human S1, and now I need to start over because it's been ages, but I got that far.) I wonder if they did that on purpose, since Toby Whithouse wrote the episode--it seems too neat to be a coincidence, but I suppose these things do happen.

3. Costume love. Particularly Helen McCrory's rebato.

Oh, the Venice episode looks like it will have me in absolute fits of delight (the pretty! The swords! The pretty! Did I mention the pretty?). Even though I have no interest in vampires, because I trust Moffat to make them interesting for me!

Yes, it does look quite pretty! I noticed in the trailer that there was a lot of light, which is good for Venice. :) (And something that one doesn't always get, in the historical episodes. I think "The Unicorn and the Wasp" had the garden party, but a lot of them are fairly dark.)

I'm not all that interested in vampires myself, but that may be because I'm squeamish.

I just find them overdone and boring, to be honest. But it sounds like they may not be actualvampires, which gives me some hope.

Though there must be interesting things one could do with vampires; it's just that people rarely seem to do them! (Though I'm basing that on a very shallow familiarity with vampires; I bet they're more interesting in non-mainstream sources.)

But yes--it does sound like there's more going on here, and I look forward to finding out what it is.

I think in the Classic Who Lore, either the show or the books (Check the classic website at BBC.com) The Vampires and Time Lord are enemies--they were enemies before Skaro and Gallifrey were enemies; but I think there were two different kinds of Vampires. there are these gross, sea creatures that are a result of Earth's pollution. I'm looking forward to this but we have to wait two more weeks in the USA. Daleks tonight, River and Angels next week. But I don't mind spoilers at all.
When Annie first met Gilbert, the very last thing I thought was that I would miss him...he was a great character.

Wasn't he just, though? I liked Gilbert quite a bit.

I didn't know that about vampires and Doctor Who--I'll have to look into it! Thanks!
